06/04/2018 New information has been released providing statistics about federal offenders (prisoners and parolees) under the authority of corrective services agencies as at 30 June 2017. The data cube presents information for New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. The data cube presents statistics on sex, age, Indigenous status and country of birth of federal offenders.

From 2016, information on offence, aggregate sentence and order length are no longer published due to data quality issues.

The publication text has been updated with commentary and graphs on federal offenders.
